Description of the Activity

The trip begins on the California coast, passing through San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Las Vegas and Sedona. The first day visits Santa Barbara and Solvang before heading up the California coast. On the second day we will visit different points of interest in San Francisco. On the third day, we will go to Yosemite National Park or Hearst Castle, depending on the season.
On the fourth day, we will drive to Las Vegas, passing through the desert and Death Valley. On the fifth day, we will visit the Hoover Dam with the afternoon free in Las Vegas. On the sixth day, we will march through the Mojave Desert and visit Sedona. On the seventh day we will visit the Monuent Valley and on the last day we will visit the Antelope Canyon ending in Las Vegas.

What are we going to do?

We will head north towards the breathtaking California coast, making an initial stop in Santa Barbara. In this place, we will have the opportunity to visit a Spanish mission and learn about the importance of these religious institutions in the development of the region. We will continue our way north, arriving at the picturesque Danish village of Solvang, where we can enjoy the local stores and atmosphere.

Then, we will continue on to Monterrey, the former capital of California, where we will make a brief stop to see its coastline and stroll along its most emblematic street.

Finally, we will enter the 17 Mile Walk, part of Route 1, to get a close-up view of the breathtaking California coastline. before continuing on to Silicon Valley, where we will stay at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Oakland Airport hotel.

Today, we will explore why San Francisco is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We will begin our tour at the famous Fisherman’s Wharf, where we will board a cruise along its charming bay. During this tour, we will pass under the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and around historic Alcatraz Island.

Then, we will return to the Pier 39 for lunch before we begin our tour of the city’s most recognized tourist attractions, including the railway station Union Square, Chinatown and Nob Hill. In addition, we will be able to enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the Bay Bridge before returning to the hotel.

In the summer, we will be staying at the Modesto Hotel in Modesto, while in the winter we will be staying at the Springhill Suites Oakland Airport.

On our Summer Route, we will travel through the farmlands of the Joaquin Valley to majestic Yosemite National Park, which encompasses more than 1,200 square miles of breathtaking forests, lakes and waterfalls in the Sierra Nevada. During our visit, we will make stops at iconic sites such as El Capitan, Bridal-Veil Falls and Half Dome, and then begin a hike from the Yosemite Visitor Center to the impressive Yosemite Falls, the highest in North America at 730 meters. For lodging, we will be staying at the Comfort Suites Stevenson Ranch.

On the other hand, in our Winter Route, we will start with a tour of Monterrey, where we will visit the pier and Cannery Row. Afterwards, we will head south to visit the famous Hearst Castle, built by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst. During our tour, we will be able to appreciate the house full of antiques and discover why the castle used to be a place of entertainment for the rich and famous during the first half of the 20th century. Finally, we will head to Las Vegas for an overnight stay at the Comfort Suites Stevenson Ranch.

On today’s route we head east through the desert and Death Valley to the famous city of Las Vegas, known as the gambling capital of the world. We will stop for lunch at a shopping mall on the Nevada state border, where we will find well-known brands.

In the evening, we will head out onto the famous Strip to enjoy the spectacular hotels and attractions, such as Caesar’s Palace, Mirage, Luxor, Paris, Mandalay Bay, New York New York, Treasure Island and more. Nightlife in Las Vegas offers a wealth of entertainment, including shows and gambling opportunities in the casinos. Maybe luck and fortune will be with us tonight! After breakfast, we will depart Las Vegas for the Hoover Dam. There we will be able to understand how this impressive human work was built and its influence on the region. After our visit, we will return to Las Vegas to enjoy the afternoon at leisure and have the opportunity to enjoy some of the unique attractions and popular shows the city has to offer. We will be staying at the same place as the previous night, at Harrah’s Hotel.

We begin the day with a drive through the breathtaking Mojave Desert, continuing on to historic Route 66 and the Colorado Plateau to reach Sedona, a place known for its exceptional natural beauty in North America, nicknamed “The Jewel of the Desert”. We will pass through the impressive Oak Creek Canyon, which descends 2000 feet (610 meters) to the valley floor, and stop to take pictures of the red rock formations and enjoy the panoramic views from the Oak Creek Canyon overlooks. Afterwards, we will stop in Sedona for lunch, where you can find authentic Indian handicrafts and unique stores.

After the break, we will head out into the desert to visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross, a self-guided tour using the local shuttle service, where we will appreciate the panoramic views of Sedona’s impressive rock formations, including Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte and Cathedral Rock. In the evening, we will drive to Flagstaff, where we will spend the night at the Clarion-Page Hotel.

We start the day exploring one of the most iconic symbols of the American West, Monument Valley. This majestic national park, located in the heart of the Navajo Nation, features impressive sandstone formations that rise as high as 400 to 1000 feet (up to 300 meters). Around these sandstone towers, you will find plateaus, hills, bushes and trees that complete the landscape.

Our excursion will begin in Jeep vehicles driven by Navajo guides. The tour will take us into the heart of the valley, where we will understand why the Navajos call it “a land like no other in the world”. Then, we will leave the park to head towards the majestic Colorado River. In the afternoon we will visit the impressive “Horseshoe Bend“, another of the unique panoramas of the region. At the end of the day, we will arrive at Lake Powell and the town of Page, where we will stay.

We will be staying at the Clarion – Page.

We will start the day in the upper Antelope Canyon, where water flows through the rocks and we will explore the fascinating dunes created by sand, wind and water. The beauty of these natural formations is difficult to describe in words.

After our tour, we will leave this impressive place and return to Las Vegas. On the way, we will stop for lunch and visit the Valley of Fire, named for the magnificent red sandstone formations created by dunes and shifting sands during the age of dinosaurs, more than 150 million years ago. We plan to visit the valley during the time of day when it appears to be on fire, due to the intense reflection of the sun (weather permitting). We will arrive in the evening at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
