Description of the Activity

The tour begins in San Francisco, with a cruise around the bay and around Alcatraz Island. Then, we will continue with a tour of the Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown and Nob Hill. On the second day, we will visit Yosemite National Park in summer or Hearst Castle in winter.
On the third day, we will arrive in Las Vegas to explore the city and try our luck in the casinos. On the fourth day, we will go to the Hoover Dam and enjoy free time in Las Vegas. On the fifth day we will drive through the Mojave Desert, Sedona and Slide Rock State Park. On the sixth day, we will see Monument Valley and Lake Powell. On the last day we will go to the upper Antelope Canyon, Valley of Fire and finish in Las Vegas.

What are we going to do?

Day 1

Today we will explore why San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We will begin our excursion at Fisherman’s Wharf with a cruise along the famous San Francisco Bay, which will take us underneath the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and around the famous Alcatraz Island. We will then return to the Pier 39 to enjoy a free lunch before continuing with a panoramic tour that will take us to all the famous sights of the city, such as the Golden Gate, Union Square, Chinatown y Nob Hill.

We will finish our tour with a panoramic view of the city from the Bay Bridge before returning to the hotel in Modesto.

Day 2

In summer, our journey will take us through the farmlands of the Joaquin Valley to Yosemite National Park. With its 1,200 square miles of wonderful forests, lakes and waterfalls, located in the Sierra Nevada, we will visit places like El Capitan, Bridal-Veil Falls and Half Dome. In addition, we will hike from the Yosemite visitor center to the Yosemite Falls, which are the highest in North America, with a height of 730 meters.

In winter, we will start our tour in Monterey to visit places like the pier and Cannery Row. We will then head south to visit Hearst Castle, a world-famous landmark built by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst. On the tour, we will be able to see the famous house full of antiques and discover why the castle used to be a place of entertainment for the rich and famous in the first half of the 20th century. In the evening, we will head to Las Vegas to end our day.

We will be staying at Comfort Suites Stevenson Ranch.

Day 3

Today, our route will take us east through the desert and Death Valley to Las Vegas, the gambling capital of the world. We will stop for lunch at a bargain mall on the Nevada state line, where we will find well-known brands such as Levi’s, Nike, Reebok, Timberland and many more.

In the evening, we will have the opportunity to walk the famous street called The Strip and see some of the spectacular hotels and fantasies that have been built in the middle of the desert, such as Caesar’s Palace, Mirage, Luxor, Paris, Mandalay Bay, New York New York, Treasure Island, among others. We will have the opportunity to enjoy one of the many shows offered in the city or try our luck in the impressive casinos. Who knows if tonight we will have luck and fortune on our side?

Our lodging for the night will be at Harrah’s Hotel.

Day 4

After enjoying our breakfast, we will depart Las Vegas for the Hoover Dam. There we will be able to understand how this incredible human work was built and the impact it has had on the area. After the visit, we will return to Las Vegas to enjoy the afternoon at leisure. We will have the opportunity to take advantage of some of the many unique attractions and popular shows the city has to offer.

Our lodging for the night will continue to be at Harrah’s Hotel.

Day 5

Today we begin our tour by traveling through the breathtaking Mojave Desert and historic Route 66 to Sedona, known as “The Jewel of the Desert” for its natural beauty. During our drive, we will cross the impressive Oak Creek Canyon, which descends 2000 feet (610 meters) to the valley floor, where we will stop to take pictures of the spectacular red rocks and their surroundings. We will also visit Slide Rock State Park and enjoy lunch in Sedona, where you can find authentic Indian crafts and boutiques.

After lunch, we will head out into the desert to visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross, where we can appreciate the breathtaking panoramic views of Sedona’s rock formations, including Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte and Cathedral Rock (the tour is self-guided, using a local shuttle service). At sunset, we will leave the Sedona area for Flagstaff.

Day 6

We will start our journey to Monument Valley, considered one of the most emblematic and photographed places in the American West. Located in the center of the Navajo Nation, this majestic park features impressive sandstone towers that reach heights of 400 to 1000 feet (up to 300 meters). During our excursion, driven in Jeeps guided by Navajo natives, we will have the opportunity to admire this unique landscape and learn about its history.

After visiting the park, we will head to the impressive Colorado River. In the afternoon, we will enter the spectacular Horseshoe Bend, another unique viewpoint in the region.

At nightfall, we will arrive at Lake Powell and the town of Page, where we will stay at the Quality Inn – Kanab.

Day 7

We will start the day exploring the area where the water flows over the rocks, as described by the Navajo. You will visit the upper part of Antelope Canyon and enjoy the spectacular dunes shaped by wind, water and sand. It is difficult to express in words the beauty of these natural formations.

After our excursion, we will leave this impressive place and return to Las Vegas. We will stop for lunch and visit the Valley of Fire, named for its magnificent reddish and yellowish sandstone formations created more than 150 million years ago during the age of dinosaurs. The time of our visit is scheduled so that we can appreciate the valley when it seems to be on fire, due to the reflection of the intense sun (weather permitting).

We will arrive at sunset at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas.

What should I bring?

We recommend you to wear comfortable clothes, a hat and sunglasses because of the heat. We will carry water for all our customers. It is important to bring identification documents.

What do the professional photos of the tour consist of?

Our guide will take pictures in the places with the best views, so you don’t have to worry about the pictures, we will take them for you.
