1 Day Tour to Philadelphia and Amish Country in English

We will begin our journey in New York and head to Philadelphia via New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In Philadelphia, we will visit some of the most important historical sites, such as the famous Liberty Bell, Independence National Park and the Hall of Congress. We will also stroll through Elfreth’s Alley, the oldest inhabited street in America, and tour the financial center, the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Philadelphia’s historic district. We can’t leave Philadelphia without seeing the famous “Rocky’s Staircase“.

Next, we will head to Lancaster County, home of the Amish community. After lunch at the Amish market, we will shop for handmade souvenirs and take a ride in an authentic Amish wagon to learn how this community has managed to survive without technology, electricity, sewage and other modern amenities. We will learn how the Amish have incorporated technology to create self-sufficient farms and use renewable energy sources.

In the afternoon, we will head east back to New York and arrive in the evening. In summary, our trip will include exploring historic sites in Philadelphia and a unique experience in the Amish community of Lancaster County before returning to New York.
